An operator lining up forks with a pallet pocket three levels up is sighting by eye, from a seat, through a mast. Get it slightly wrong and you don't find out until the forks hit the beam, or the load, or come up short and drop.
This system projects a light line — shown red in the product photo — onto the ground or the load, marking exactly where the fork tips are. The operator sees the line, not a guess. No craning the neck, no sighting off the mast rails, no "that looks about right."
The case for this one isn't a legal requirement — there isn't one, and we won't pretend otherwise. It's damage and time. A fork that clips a beam end can bend the beam, damage the load, or in the worst case unseat a pallet at height, which is a fall-of-load risk onto whatever and whoever is below. A racking upright hit hard enough can compromise the whole bay. Precise fork placement is a real control against all three, on top of being faster once operators trust the line over their own eye.
It matters most in narrow-aisle and high-bay racking, where the operator's sightline to the fork tips is worst and the cost of a miss — to stock, to racking, to the truck — is highest. On ground-level, wide-aisle work where the operator can see the forks and the pocket clearly without help, this is a smaller win.
